Binnacle: defending the bay

the ship was infested, there was nowhere to run but to the lifesaver boats. the colonel ordered inmediate evacuation and we did we took as much weaponrya s we could and send to land the order to blow the ship to pieces we got to shore quickly and everyone felt relieved cannon balls sunk fired at the ships but they didn't sink why? the wearther. it was making the cannons miss. if the ships came anyfurther those creatures will be upon us 5th batallion on your foot! this aint no time to rest. the ships arent stoppping and they are all full loaded with those monsters present weapons and take posittions as the 5th batallion marched to shore the other soldiers only watched dumbfounded the ships were finally sinking but the waters were no longer as deep as to swallow them and their terrible cargo the monsters came at us, meeting with a heavy rain of metal by the time the other officers send their soldiers to support us, the monsters comming out of the sand to tears a leg scared the hell out of them. still the 5th batallion held. we hit with all we had. even when the whole cuartel was outnumbered by those threats, we alone even the numbers. finally we moved the battle inland, hunting down those who managed to pass by us underground. there should still be many but 10 mins have passed since i'm here taking a breath surrounded by automated sentries. the lines seem dead, a creepy silence crawls around. where's everybody? we must reagroup. as many survivors as there's left. i've been alone for something like half an hour, judging by the way it took me to get here and how many bullets i have already fired. where's everyone else?
